Perfect World Wins Multiple Awards at 2008 |
Beijing China (November 5, 2008) - Perfect World Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ: PWRD)("Perfect World" or the "Company"), a leading online game developer and operator in China, announced that it has won three awards at the 2008 ChinaJoy Golden Plume Awards Grand Ceremony, which was held yesterday.
In this year's voting, "Pocketpet Journey West," the Company's pet-themed 3D game, won the "Best Q-version Online Game" award. "Chi Bi," Perfect World's online game based on the Three Kingdoms period of Chinese history, won the "Best Self-Developed Online Game" award. And "Zhu Xian," which is based on a popular Internet fantasy novel of the same name, won the "Top 10 Most Favorite Online Games among Game Players" award. Mr. Zhu Qi, Senior Vice President of Perfect World, attended the ceremony and received the awards on behalf of the Company. The ChinaJoy Golden Plume Awards are some of the most prestigious awards in China's online game industry and are voted on by game players in China. The voting process is one of the most comprehensive in China, so many consider it to be the authoritative guide on opinions of the country's online game players.
