Perfect World to Launch Unlimited Closed Beta Testing |
Beijing China (July 7, 2008) - Perfect World Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ: PWRD) ("Perfect World" or the "Company"), a leading online game developer and operator in China, today announced that it plans to launch unlimited closed beta testing for "Pocketpet Journey West," the Company's first pet-themed massively multiplayer online role playing game ("MMORPG"), on July 17, 2008. "Pocketpet Journey West" has been well-received by many domestic online game players since closed beta testing was launched on June 26, 2008. To allow more online game players to experience this new pet-themed game, Perfect World has decided to launch unlimited closed beta testing for the game on July 17, 2008 and reset all the characters created during the most recent closed beta testing period. Once the next phase begins, all online game players will be able to log on to "Pocketpet Journey West." After registering, player data created during the unlimited closed beta testing period will be saved. Additionally, the in-game item mall will be open. This should allow even more players to enjoy the fun packed into this innovative new game.
