Perfect World Launches "Crown the World Throne" Expansion Pack for "Zhu Xian" |
Beijing China (April 9, 2008) -- Perfect World Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ: PWRD) ("Perfect World" or the "Company"), a leading online game developer and operator in China, today announced that it launched "Crown the World Throne" expansion pack for "Zhu Xian" on April 1, 2008. "Crown the World Throne" includes a new "City Combat System," another key update for players versus players battles. It follows the successful launch of "Battlegrounds System." Compared to the "Battlegrounds system," the "City Combat System" allows players to battle in a group on a guild basis, which further requires total command and combat capabilities. The attacking side can use the gems discovered in the wild to produce a summoning scroll to call for the assistance of non-player characters ("NPC") with scaling ladders and demolisher. The defending side can collect resources to strengthen the city's defense power and promote the function of the defensive tower. The winning guild in the "City Combat System" is awarded with possession of the city in the game – "City in the Sky." Under the "City Combat System" of "Zhu Xian," the guild awarded the "City in the Sky" will enjoy more privileges. Guild master, as the city owner, is able to acquire numerous awards from the construction provisioner of "City in the Sky" for the construction of the guild and city. Other players in the guild also have tasks with even higher experience points awards, discounts for purchasing consumables like medication and magic weapons, and opportunities of obtaining special weapons refiners and refining magic weapons. Moreover, the owner of "City in the Sky" can build his/her statue in the game through solidifying his/her hold on the city. The statue materials will change with the length of the owner's reign. The initial stone statue will ultimately become a gold statue.
